Integrative Medicine (IM) does not in general deal with the diagnostic process differently to conventional medicine. In IM there is an emphasis on why the person has developed their illness and hence risk factors are of greater significance than in conventional medicine. Although the risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease are not as clear as for other illnesses, there are a number, which should be considered even though definitive information is unavailable. It is possible that correction of risk factors may help in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease at an early stage.
