Asthma Case 8 - Jane

Thirty-one-year-old Jane Richards consults you, 10 weeks into her third pregnancy. Her other two children, 6-year-old Liam and 3-year-old Joel both have asthma and eczema. Jane wants to know whether there is anything she can do to minimise the chance of her next child having asthma and eczema. She says her husband is particularly concerned.

Jane has a strong family history of atopic disease and she herself has asthma.
