Preliminary Case
 
Mr. Tom Nguyen, a 51 year old storeman presents with a 7 
week history of moderately severe central lower back pain 
limiting his capacity to work and undertake sporting activities
such as tennis and lawn bowls. He cannot recall a particular 
precipitating event but recalls limited periods of back 
discomfort over the years. It is aggravated by physical activity 
especially lifting and long car trips. It does not bother him in 
bed at night. Associated problems include increased tiredness, 
irritability, vague aches in the legs and arms an difficulty coping 
with his
work.
