1997 - from the medical record. Mrs Julie Burns was then 55 - year - old, married with two children. She enjoyed good health and worked full - time as a receptionist until five years previously when she developed rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis. Despite treatment with immunosuppressants, her renal failure progressed over the next three years and she required dialysis. Mrs. Burns had been stable on haemodialysis since then. Whilst on dialysis she was worked up for a renal transplant. |
