Asthma
CASE 3 - BEN
It
is 8.30 am and six-year-old Ben is seeing you with his mother for respiratory
problems again.
Mother tells you Ben has had a cold for the last few days and has been
coughing since coming home from school yesterday. She has been giving
him blue Turbuhaler every 4 hours since yesterday afternoon. Last night
he needed his medication every 3 hours. He woke this morning with much
coughing, dry retching and vomiting. He had medication with some relief
but is starting to cough and dry retch since arriving at the clinic.
