Asthma Case 3 - Ben

Mother tells you Ben has had three episodes of wheeze, cough and breathlessness in the past 6 months, each apparently triggered by a viral URTI. He has been prescribed a Turbuhaler for these symptoms. In the interval between the episodes he often has a dry cough, especially in the late afternoon and at night when it is cold and sometimes develops cough and breathlessness when running around at school, at football and at home. When he develops these symptoms his mother gives him a beta2 agonist using a Turbuhaler device.
